Region Sees Increase in Positive Interaction: Muttaqi

KABUL (BNA): Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, recently had a telephone conversation with Mahmood Ishaq Dar, the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Pakistan.

Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hafez Zia Ahmad Takal, took to his social media handle to share details of the call. Muttaqi congratulated Dar on his appointment and expressed hope that it would strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

Muttaqi also mentioned the increasing positive interaction in the region with each passing day, as well as the initiation of major infrastructure projects. He emphasized the importance of constructive participation from Pakistan in these endeavors.

During the call, Muttaqi extended an invitation to Dar to visit Afghanistan, which was warmly received. Dar thanked Muttaqi and pledged to work towards enhancing relations between the two nations.

The discussion also touched on issues such as easing the movement of traders, travelers, and patients between Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as resolving any existing challenges.
