Demonstration Staged In Favor of National Unity In Kabul

Sunday, December 08, 2013
Kabul (BNA) A number of Kabul residents yesterday staged demonstration, condemning recent movements against the ‘national unity’ in the country and warned against perpetrators of such movements.
The demonstrations which were organized by a number of social organizations and civil societies supported recent statement made by President Hamid Karzai, demanding the media for fighting their broadcasts according to the national unity.
They also asked for ending the activities of those TV channels trying to incite ethnic rivalry and create problems for the nation.
The protesters released a resolution saying Afghanistan is one, joint, unbreakable country and depends to all tribes of this land.
Its citizens and residents are relating to all tribal, religious and social identifications and having equal rights, so any tribal discrimination in the county is banned.
The acts of those who are preaching tribal and language discrimination and incite ethnic rivalry in the society are considered as national treachery.
They said they condemned groups, thoughts and acts which were undermining the unity in the country.
