Kabul (BNA) The First Vice-President General Abdul Rashid Dostum has strongly denounced and kind of violence against women and called for respecting women rights in the country.
In his message to mark the International Day on Elimination of Violence against Women, the vice president recalling brutal killing and burning Farkhunda in Kabul, murdering Shukria Tabasim by Taliban in Zabul stoning to death few more by insurgents in the country, the Vice-President stated that abusing women rights is against the Islamic teachings. “I as a strong supporter of the rights of women and girl in Afghanistan strongly condemning the violence against women,” General Dostum said in the message, adding the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan would continue to stand alongside its citizens and would spare no efforts to protect women rights in society.
