Sunday October 18, 2015
Kabul (BNA) Speaking about Ashura doesn’t lodge within a little time, as any of its moment is a lesson and an example for those who want to remain as a real Muslim in a Muslim society.
In Afghanistan, the Muslims including from any sects who loves their religious values more than anything are intently taking part in the mourning’ ceremony of Imam Hussain and in addition, they use the social and ethical values of Muharram-ul-Haram. Can one call himself Muslim, while being not aware of Hussaini Ashura whose even the enemies have full familiarity with, or could someone be called the believer of Allah and His messenger and don’t want to mourn at his dear son who is undeniably his successor and heir-apparent. Anyone knows that while Gandhi, the great leader of the India liberals speaks of his success mysteries from what he gained from following the tenet of Imam Hussain, then how can a real Muslim ignore the most important index of the Imam’s instruction to remain a real follower of the holy Islam. Ashura is not a mere event, with the end of which could be linked to tales and stories, but is an epic, any Muslim could use it as his/her illuminated light all over the human history and remain permanent in the faith and philosophy bases of the human.
Ashura means shedding blood by Imam Hussain for his Ahl-e-Bait, the family’s future, collecting the wilderness thorns during dark night, watering down a breastfeeding baby with the pick of sharp sword, sobbing of uncertain children in the ardent desert and finally Ashura is the apex of manhood and resistance and depiction of all braveries flickered in the eyes of Abbas and permanent farewell of sister with brother from the light, the sample of which couldn’t be found throughout the sky. One of the Imam Hussain’s orders was not to remain quiet, where there ordering to good and preventing from bad was available, and anyone dies in the absence of such sacred behave, there would only a hell. Though, the people of Afghanistan, including Shia and Sunni are reflected in the feature, the symptom of the mourning, but any streets and subways are looked like to have been mourning for the great event in the Muslim history. Nevertheless, the enemies of Islam have been trying to create discord between Shia and Sunni Muslims, but the people of Afghanistan showed in the recent years, that they have now gotten united and unity mark the great event for the Imam and are jointly working to use his instruction for their success in all fields of their lives.
They showed Imam Hussain was not related only to a single part, but to all Muslim world, they realized that if Aba Abdullah Hussain was not martyred the holy religion of Islam would not be witnessed today. This duty and responsibility, if Sunni or Shia to learn the main instruction of the Imam in his way to help keep the holy Islam alive all over the world. In our country, Afghanistan, Ashura is commemorated by all Muslims as a day of mourning for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain [son of Imam Ali (PBUH), the grandson of Muhammad. The massacre of Imam Hussain with a group of his companions and family members had great impact on the religious conscience of Muslims. And they have ever remembered it with sorrow and passion. Mourning for Hussain and his companions began almost immediately after the Battle of Karbala, by his survivor relatives and supporters. Massouda Qarizada
