President Ghani Receives Credentials of Kuwait, Slovakian Non-Resident Ambassadors

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani received credentials of Kuwait and Slovakia’s non-resident ambassadors to Afghanistan during a ceremony held in presidential palace, a statement said.
According to presidential press office, during the ceremony which was also attended by Hekmat Khalil Karzai, the deputy minister of political affairs for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Ghani, Ahmad Khalid Al-Jiran of Kuwait and Lubomir Golian of Slavokia emphasized on enhancing bilateral ties between Afghanistan and their respected countries. Thanking Kuwait and Slovakia’s support to Afghanistan, President Ghani wished success to new ambassadors. The ambassadors also pledged to spare no effort in tightening the bilateral ties, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Abdul Khalid Al-Jiran convoyed Kuwait Amir’s greetings to President Ghani, inviting the president to pay visit to his country. He also said his country would support Afghanistan’s poor families through Kuwait’s Al-Hayat fund. Thanking the invitation, the president said would meet Kuwait Amir during his visit to Saudi Arabia and discuss the first phase of long-term cooperation between the two countries. The president also invited Kuwait businesspersons to visit Afghanistan and explore investment opportunities, the statement added. The Slovakian non-resident ambassador said his country was ready to help Afghanistan in military engineering field, restoration of the helicopters and exploitation of the mines. Thanking Slovakian support to Afghanistan, the president said Afghan military choppers needed restoration and it should be done inside the country, the statement concluded.
