‘Kabul Security Plan’ To Be Unveiled After Eid: President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met a number of craftsmen from Kabul at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday evening, a presidential statement said.
During the meeting, the president has said the plan for security, stability and peace of Kabul, the central capital would be unveiled after Eidul Fitr.
The statement from the Presidential Palace quoted the president as once again condemning the recent terrorist attacks in Kabul said “The time has come to strike unity in our ranks.” “I have not come here with the force of gun and money, but have come here with your clean votes and I am answerable to you. It is the place of unity not disunity.” The president said the 40-year-old conflict in Afghanistan should come to an end, because it was the right of the Afghans to live a normal life. President Ghani added the Kabul security plan would be unveiled to the public in a big gathering in Kabul after Eidul Fitr. The president said reforms should be brought in consultation with different segments of the society.
In response to demands of the craftsmen, the president said no one had the right to force someone into making payment in the US currency, because the Constitution offered an explanation for it. He said the central bank of Afghanistan has asked the Ministry of Finance to do all transactions in the Afghanis. Craftsmen association head Mohammad Hassan Sepahi on the occasion prayed for the victims of recent terrorist attacks in Kabul. He said the enemy wanted to achieve two goals from the recent attacks—to spread terror and create gap between the government and the people. Sepahi thanked the president for paying attention to the development of the private sector. About the ongoing protest movement in Kabul, he said protest was everyone’s right, but on the condition that no one should be harmed or a property damaged.
