Kabul (BNA) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) costing $128 million was signed between the ministry of finance and the World Bank (WB), Bakhtar News Agency reported Sunday.
According to the agency, the nonrefundable fund would be spent in regulation of the country’s irrigation system and cleaning the Naghlo dam.
The fund would help fairly use electricity and effectively utilize agriculture in the country, said the agency quoting the head of the WB, Robert Bob Sum, adding the project would also help provide employment for a great number individuals in the country’s rural areas.
He said execution of the project also helps a number of female farmers find work on the farmlands.
