IDB Grants $24.6 Million for Health and Education in Afghanistan

KABUL (BNA): The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has declared a new package of its assistance to Afghanistan, focusing on health and education sectors.

The bank will fund several projects in collaboration with aid organizations, using $24.6 million from the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund under its management.

The projects aim to improve food security, healthcare support, and education in different parts of Afghanistan, benefiting hundreds of thousands of people.

The bank has partnered with UNHCR, UNICEF, WHO, and the Norwegian Refugee Council to implement these projects.

The bank has also allocated funds for clean water access and livelihood in Afghan villages.
