President Ghani Visits Kapisa, Reviews Security Situation

KABUL(BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani traveled to central Kapisa province yesterday morning and reviewed the provincial security situation as well as addressed a gathering in Mahmood Raqi, the provincial capital, a statement from the presidential press office said.
The president was accompanied by first Vice President Amrullah Saleh, National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib, IDLG head and a number of government officials, the statement added. Chairing a security meeting, the president reviewed the provincial security situation and instructed the officials to do more for improving the security in the province.
Meanwhile addressing a gathering attended by provincial representative and residents, the president said: “Attracting the Taliban to the system is our duty because peace should not be a reason for increase of violence and conflict.” Regarding security situation of the country, the president directed his first deputy, Amrullah Saleh, to device a security plan. Under the security plan, Saleh would work with security officials in 34 provinces to develop a clear and practical vision for improving security situation in two weeks, elaborated president Ghani. President Ghani stressed the need for women’s empowerment
. He said Saleh and other representatives and influential figures of the province should take decisions for reforms. Addressing the gathering, Saleh said he, the president and the government would fulfill all promises they had had made during election campaigns with people of Kapisa. He added they would start implementation of the promises from building hospital in Kapisa.
