Hekmat Karzai, Czech Republic’s Martin Tlapa Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Kabul (BNA) Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Khalil Karzai met his Czech counterpart Martin Tlapa during the first round of political consolations in Prague the other day, the MoFA said in statement.
Both sides discussed bilateral political, economic and cultural cooperation, in particular on the fields of mines, agriculture and urban transport.
During his Czech tour, the deputy minister also met with Czech Republic’s deputy minister of defense on policy and strategy Jacob Landovsky. The Czech official assured increasing of his country’s military personnel within framework of the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, adding his country would spare no effort in assisting and training of the Afghan Air Forces, the statement added.
The Afghan deputy minister asked for increasing long-term and short-term scholarships to Afghan air force personnel.
Meanwhile the deputy foreign minister also met with Afghan air forces students based in Czech Republic. He also delivered lectures to the students of Prague’s Charles University on current situation in Afghanistan. During his stay in Czech, Hekmat Khalil Karzai also met the country’s former minister of Foreign Affairs and current head of the committee on international affairs of the parliament and discussed issued related to bilateral relations.
