Kabul (BNA) Eleven years back, Afghanistan was the witness of a despotic and extremist regime of Taliban for five years. This regime took people under Talibanism ideological pressures that their harsh behave caused the concern of most nations of the region. Even this regime prevented the development of those regional countries which had ties and neighbor-hood with Afghanistan.
But after the fall of Taliban regime with coming into power of a new government and vast presence of international forces including regional countries in counterterrorism and economic and cultural cooperation’s and their contribution in rehabilitation of Afghanistan caused some positive changes in aforementioned aspects of life and with passing each year, every country played their role in related affairs, because the said nations knew that a stable and developed Afghanistan, causes the development and stability of regional countries.
But vice versa, if Afghanistan targeted by the assaults of terrorist groupings, this would make instable the regional and even ultra-regional countries. In such a state negative changes would occur in various social-economic and cultural and political affairs.
No doubt, eleven years back, the Afghan people tasted the bitter flavor of existence of terrorist groups in their country. In connection with the issue, in a tripartite meeting of ambassadors of Russia, India and Turkey including second vice president of Afghanistan Mohammd Karim Khalili spoke in regard with continuation of cooperation and joint efforts of their countries and added that this causes progress and stability in the region.
The experiences prove that non-cooperation of regional countries in counterterrorism not only caused prevention of stability and peace but this caused prevention of growth and development in these countries as well and during recent eleven years, a number of regional countries including Turkey, Russia, India, Iran and Pakistan came under the barbaric assaults of terrorist groups.
So, all countries of the region believe that cohesion, unity and harmony and oneness in counterterrorism cause stability, security and development in the region. Another point that should be mentioned is non-coordination of some regional countries in counterterrorism. Despite attending in several regional and ultra-regional meetings, they spoke against terrorism and its annihilation, but they had no honesty in practice and vice versa they supported terrorist groupings, this harms the efforts of other countries made towards counterterrorism and development in some extent.
So, the existence of several self-interested countries in the region that concentrated on their own interests and are willing to search their own benefit though various channels in the region don’t permit the permanent peace be maintained in the region.
Till peace and stability not to be maintained in the region, progress and developments would not be earned by some countries own weak economy. Development and progress was entitled with joint efforts by the ambassadors of three regional countries of Russia, Turkey, and India with participation of second vice president in a time that meeting of foreign ministers of countries of “Heart of Asia” to be held in Alma Ata the capital city of Kazakhstan on strengthening of cooperation among regional countries, exacerbation of fighting against terrorism, narcotics, organized crimes and solution of regional challenges.
