Kabul (BNA) The Special Envoy to President on Reforms and Good Governance, Ahmad Zia Masoud said yesterday that the government is committed in bringing reforms and changing the living conditions of the people.
He made the remarks in meeting of the High Council for Standard here yesterday during which the achievements of the Directorate of National Norm and Standard were reviewed. Presenting his report, Popalzai, the General Director of the Directorate for National Norm and Standard said that out of 50 standards, 14 which include managing food stuff, medicine, cosmetic, chemical, environment and construction materials. He also added that a geotechnical laboratory would be established by the end of year. Approving the criteria for the standard, members of the high council for standard said that all the ministries and concerned bodies implement the standard to ensure the good quality of everything in the market. Zia Massoud also stressed that the public and private sectors those producing and importing goods have to keep in mind the approved standards and implement in the bazaar and border points.
