President Ghani Chairs Cabinet Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The cabinet with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair held meeting yesterday and discussed variety of issues.
In the meeting, the minister for justice presented his report on the situation with regard to schools, Medressah or religious schools, promotion of teachers and modification of the law with regard to the subject which was approved by the cabinet. Anyone using the lands and properties of education ministry should be retaken and handed over the education ministry.
Similarly, the deputy to ministry of information and culture, presented his report on displaying artifacts of Bakhtar civilization in South Korea, saying the artifacts would remain for display in Tokyo museum till June this year and from there would be shifted  to South Korea and the suggestion was approved by  the cabinet.  The minister for power and water also presented his report. In the meeting matters relating TAPI was also discussed and the cabinet after listening to the reports tasked the ministry for petroleum and mines to review the projects comprehensively and submit the report to the High Economic Council.
According to another report, the National Procurement Commission with president Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair here in Arg the other day reviewed 15 contracts worth 5.5 billion Afghanis with regard to ministries for defense and interior.
In the contracts with regard to food stuff of the defense ministry for the year 1395, according to the report, 800 million Afghanis have been saved.
The National Procurement Commission in its 46 weekly meetings has approved 650 contracts worth more than 100 billion Afghanis and thus saved 14 billion Afghanis.
