Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has received US principal deputy assistant secretary for South and Central Asia Alice Wells, BNA reported.
In the meeting held yesterday evening at Gul Khana Place, both sides discussed modality of impacts of US sanctions on Chabahar port. Previously, Afghanistan government had also held discussions in connection with Chabahar and results of discussions would be soon shared with the people. According to another report, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah has also met with Alice Wells, US principle deputy assistant secretary for South and Central Asia at Sapidar Palace. In the meeting, both sides discussed Afghanistan peace talks, holding parliamentary elections, preparations for presidential elections and Geneva meeting to be held late this month.
