Sheberghan (BNA) Five policemen were martyred when their car carrying them hit a roadside mine yesterday.
Jawzjan police spokesman Massoud Andarabi told BNA that the policemen belonged to the Public Protection Battalion, their vehicle collided with a roadside mine while transporting engineers from the Sheberghan Exploration Unit in Gogerdak area of the province.
The source added that as a result of the explosion, five of policemen were martyred and four others were wounded.
It is said that the investigation engineers were not injured in this incident.
