Islamic Emirate Aims to Build Commercial Road Between Afghanistan and Iran

ZARANJ (BNA): The Islamic Emirate is currently working on constructing a commercial road between Afghanistan and Iran to improve the accessibility for commercial caravans. The road is being developed on the border of Nimruz province in Afghanistan, adjacent to Iran.

During a meeting with traders, Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid, the Governor of Nimroz, expressed that the road’s construction aims to enhance trade activities and simplify the movement of commercial caravans between Afghanistan and Iran. He mentioned that the completion of this road will alleviate population congestion at the Silk Bridge, resolve traffic issues, and offer essential facilities for traders.
The total cost estimated for the construction of this commercial road is 28 million Afghanis.
