Islamic Countries’ Foreign Ministers to Visit China Amid Gaza Crisis

KABUL (BNA): As the crisis in Gaza escalates and Palestinian casualties continue to rise, foreign ministers from Islamic countries are set to visit China. The aim is to leverage China’s influence to broker a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday night that foreign ministers from Islamic and Arab countries are en route to China. They will negotiate an end to the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the objective of this trip was to kickstart a political process concerning the Gaza war.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan revealed that the trip is scheduled for tomorrow, Nov 20.

While these foreign ministers are heading to Beijing to resolve the Gaza crisis, some Islamic countries, which are the main fuel suppliers to the Israeli army, have not severed their supply lines to Tel Aviv. Despite maintaining diplomatic relations and only condemning Israel’s crimes, these countries have kept their supply lines open throughout Israel’s 45-day attack on Gaza.

Two days ago, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan issued a statement urging countries and international organizations to take a clear stance on the Gaza issue. The statement emphasized that Israel’s actions in Gaza should be classified as war crimes.
