Interior Minister visit Paktia

PAKTIA (BNA) The Acting Interior Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, met with tribal leaders and religious scholars during his visit to Paktia province, on Wednesday.

The Minister of Interior during a gathering assured the residents of the province that the Islamic Emirate will do every effort toward providing better livelihood and at the same time praised the sacrifices of the citizens of the province in the past two decades, said a statement by the Interior Ministry.

The residents of Paktia have made incredible efforts in the victory of the Islamic system, said the statement quoting the Minister.

At the same time, the residents of Paktia called the visits of senior officials to the affected sites valuable and good deeds towards bringing the people and the government closer.

According to the statement, the residents of the province asked the Islamic Emirate to provide them with electricity, rebuild the Gardez-Zermatt highway and solve several other problems in their district.

The residents of Zermat said that in the former government, the rulers treated them differently and deprived them of all privileges, but they expect the Islamic Emirate to pay special attention to them.
