Sancharaki Discusses Violence Related Journalists Documents With UNESCO Deputy Director On Media

Kabul (BNA) Fazel Sancharaki, deputy to the ministry of information and culture at the sideline of the general assembly of the UNESCO, in Paris discussed the violence related documents of Afghan journalist with the vice-chairman of the organization on media and relations and projects official, BNA reported Thursday.
The agency said the two sides at the UNESCO compound in Paris spoke about violence related documents of the Afghan journalists, access of Journalists and the people to information as well as general situation of journalists in Afghanistan.
The UNESCO media affairs in-charge thanked Sancharaki for his information about the Afghan media situation and said that this was the first time he had received full and helpful information about media in Afghanistan, the agency said.
Officials of the organization promised to do more in the field of professional capacity building in the country, the agency added.
Issues including budget, strategy and new plans of the UNESCO on how to protect the world cultural heritages, particularly historical monuments in the warzones and in the Palestinian occupied territories, had been discussed at the meeting attended by hundreds of representatives from different world countries in Paris.
The general assembly of the UNESCO is held every two years in Paris, in which cultural, publication, scientific and other issues are discussed, with the member representatives.
