IEA Signs Contract with UAE on Country’s Airports Management

KABUL (BNA): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has signed a contract with the United Arab Emirates-based company over the country’s airport management, including Kabul International Airport on Tuesday.

According to BNA, the contract has signed today Tuesday during a press conference at the information and media center of government.

Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar addressing the occasion spoke on details of the contract saying that after a succession of discussions, the contract on four airports in the country reach an agreement.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seeks good relations with all countries of the world and called on the world countries to work for the welfare of the afflicted and oppressed nation of Afghanistan and for the prosperity and development of this country, added Baradar.

He said that the IEA is working hard to boost the country’s economy adding that within the signing of the contract, all international airlines will start their flights to Afghanistan in a safe and steadfast space, and it will help us to grow exchange business with other countries.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Ghulam Jilani Wafa spokes further details of the agreement during the conference.

He said within signing the contract, Afghanistan’s international airport’s credibility will be extended, services would be provided in a standardized manner and more international airlines would resume flights to Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Razack Aslam Mohammad Abdur Razack, Chairman of UAE-based company (GAAC/G42) assured in his speech that he would continue his cooperation with the people of Afghanistan and the Islamic Emirate in such a sensitive situation.

He said with the signing and taking practical steps on the contract, international airlines would be encouraged to start their flights and international investors would be encouraged to invest in Afghanistan.

The contract was signed with the company, in the presence of Deputy Minister Prime Minister of Economic Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Acting Information and Culture Minister Mullah Khairullah Khairkhaw, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, and other senior officials.

The contract of four Afghanistan international airports management which includes (Kabul, Kandahar, Herat, and Balk) has signed with GAAC/G42 of a UAE-based company on Tuesday.
