Senate Denounces Pakistani Ulema Council Remarks

Kabul (BNA) The Senate of National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has strongly denounced the remarks of Pakistani Ulema Council chief, Tahir Ashrafi a breach of Islamic teaching.
Ashrafi in his remarks has endorsed suicide bombing in Afghanistan and Kashmir to keep on war and blood shedding in Afghanistan.
In its reaction, the senate supported the fatwa or religious decree of Saudi Arabian Mufti Shikh Abdul Aziz, the fatwa of Egyptian Mufti, the fatwa of Ustad Abdul Rab Rasoul Sayaf and other religious scholars in which they termed suicide attacks as unlawful elsewhere in the world including Afghanistan.
Describing the fatwa of Tahir Ashrafi as politically motivated, saying the people of Afghanistan, the Ulema council of Afghanistan and Muslims worldwide strongly believe that the suicide attack is against Islamic teaching and humanity.
