Sadat Asks Youth To Inform People, Drivers On Traffic Rules

Kabul (BNA) Dr. Kamal Sadat, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Youth Affairs called youth role important in decreasing traffic incidents, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
According to BNA, in a joint news conference held yesterday at the government media center, Dr. Sadat talked with Traffic Department and civil society representatives on ways to prevent traffic incidents in the country.
Sadat added that the recent incidents have indicated that unobserving of the traffic laws and regulations by drivers was a factor behind harsh traffic incidents which have claimed the lives of people, the report added.
Dr. Sadat also pointed out to the recent incident occurred in Kabul-Kandahar highway which left many people killed and injured, the report continued. Youth should learn the traffic rules and regulations, so to inform the people and drivers to prevent heartbreaking incidents in the future, Sadat added. The traffic department representative said, as the youth have shown eligibility in other sections, it is expected that in cooperation with civil society they play their significant role on prevention of traffic incidents as well.
Likewise, Sami Haqjo said the civil society organizations will do their best to inform the people, particularly the drivers on traffic rules and regulations.
