“Afghan Leadership Is Loyal Towards Holding of Coming Presidential Elections”: Marshal Fahim

Kabul (BNA) Marshal Mohammad Qaseem Fahim first vice-president of Afghanistan met with Deputy Special Envoy of USA for Afghanistan and Pakistan and the head of the US delegation for talks on the security agreement between Afghanistan and the US while Mrs. Teena Kayalano deputy ambassador of the US embassy in Kabul was also present.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on the security agreement between the two nations, holding of presidential elections, and ensuring of lasting stability in Afghanistan.
Marshal Fahim called ensuring of lasting peace in the country the ground for progress and asked the cooperation of the international community with Afghanistan in this respect after the withdrawal of its forces from Afghanistan.
Touching on the forthcoming elections he said that the leadership of Afghanistan is obedient towards holding of the coming presidential elections in free manners and shall hold it on the basis of provision of the Constitution.
The head of the US delegation for talks on security agreement, discussed on the start of talks on the security agreement between the two nations.
The deputy ambassador of the US embassy expressed pleasure over announcement of the date of presidential elections and assured of continued cooperation of her country with Afghanistan.
