Kabul (BNA) A prominent Taliban group figure and explosives expert of the group was killed during an operation of the Afghan intelligence operatives, National Directorate of Security (NDS), in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
The provincial government media office in Nangarhar in a statement said the Taliban explosives expert famous as Osama was killed during a night raid on Friday.
The statement further added that the operation was conducted in Surkh Rod district and as a result another militant was arrested and a rifle was also confiscated. In the meantime, the provincial government said at least three Taliban fighters hailing from Pakistan were also killed in a US drone strike in Ghani Khel district.
