Who Is Responsible For Set Ablaze Of 500 Oil Takers?

Monday July 14, 2014
Kabul (BNA) Last week, at least 500 oil tankers were burnt in suburb of Kabul city.
According to Khan Jan Alokozai deputy chairman of Afghanistan’s Chambers of Commerce and Industries (ACCI), the price of the tankers estimated to $500 million and majority of the financial lose has been posed on owners of the tankers or the private sector of the country. But, we wanted to ask NATO about the total amount of money lost in the set ablaze of oil tankers so that the is reflected on this writing as well, but regrettably, despite consecutive efforts with NATO spokesman, the opponent side didn’t answer the phone, hence, the $500 million lose were left on shoulders of the private sector. But the thing which needs consideration pause is that how the enemy managed to plant magnetic mine in oil tankers? Why the National Directorate of Security NDS, police and personnel of Ministry of Interior (Mol) despite having twelve years experiences with regard to tactics of the enemies failed to prevent influence of the Taliban inside important government facilities?
Who and which organ were responsible to protect public assets and NATO supplies. Does it not reveal that the occurrence of this event and massive financial lose which is one side of the enemy who is able to influence even in the heart of Kabul city. Who was asked and who was fired from his government post? These are all those questions which are needed to be answered by the responsible officials, but the amazing thing is that the Taliban militant who claim not harm the civilians and public assets dared to pose such lose to the people and later on shamefully accept responsibility of the incident. Where Islam has said lives, properties and assets of public should be targeted during the war for reaching political motives? If we calculate the owner of each oil tanker and his family members into five people, 2500 people have directly affected by the event, but the Taliban by committing the job in- fact received hatred of 2500 people.
This wasn’t the first time Taliban resorted to such a move; the group will continue such attacks in country level in the future as well. Our demand from the responsible government officials is not to show flexibility toward those showing nonfeasance and negligence and the impunity culture should also be prohibited on the government servants because of this or that or his relation with a number of government officials and the ineffective job of some government officials in the past twelve years had no positive outcomes and targets weren’t achieved. So, it a great lose to good governance. In the first step, it should investigated that which organ or who was responsible for security of the oil tankers, later on, the responsible person must be referred to the curt so it would be a  warning to the others.
The important thing is that it not possible to coordinate such an attack with having a contact with the enemy; the security institutions must detect the real plotter of the incident. So far, the criminal engaged in such acts haven’t been prosecuted or punished public which has encouraged other criminals and graph of crimes has increased.
