Transparent Entry-Exam To Be Taken, Official

Kabul (BNA) Spokesman of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) said that this year’s Entrance Examination (E-exam) will be taken more transparently than the previous years.
Examination is a national, nationwide and competitive process which is organized every year by the Examinations Department of the MoHE in the capital and provinces for recruiting of the most seditious and competent graduates of high schools in universities, institutes of higher and semi-higher educations based on transparency and justice.
Head of Information and Publication Department and spokesman of the MoHE Dr. Safiullah Jalalzai went on to say, over 300000 high school graduates are expected to take part in these examinations out of which about 60000 will be accepted by state-run institutes of higher educations and about 60000 by semi-higher institutes. The first E-examination was taken on Qaws 6.1394 in Ghor province and the rest will be taken until the end of Hoot (Early March) in 38 zones.
He added, for transparency of E-examinations in current year, beside cooperation of security branches, cooperation of local authorities, law makers, provincial councils will be requested and each applicant will receive separate forms of questions that not only will prevent interference of powerful individual, but will prevent fraud and copying. A printing machine for publication of questions formats has been purchased by the USAID and installed that would print the questions formats quickly.
Talking on the capital and provincial applicants, Jalalzai said there is no difference between capital and provincial applicants. All will receive certain questions formats which will be prepared by computer and the answers’ sheet will be scoring also by computer.
Touching the price of registration formats, Zalalzai said before these formats cost Afs250 per piece but now its price has increased to Afs 400 per sheet due to high expenditures of E-examinations committee and it has been determined by the supporting committee of E-examination process which consists of few ministries and its money will be taken by Ministry of Education and will be paid to the government account code.
Shayesta a graduate of Afshar high school said, we hope, this year fraud will be prevented in E-examinations and the relevant commission of the MoHE would focus more precise attention.
Those who intermediator, he added, are accepted by the best faculties and those who have no intermediator, remain uncertain and have to migrate.
According to him, at present large number of unemployed youth have left the country and a number of them were drowned in the sea.
The Afghan government, he added, should at all cost pave the way for employment and education of youth otherwise the rest of the similar youth would also desert the country.
He asked the MoHE to use transparency in E-exams and prevent problem for youth.
A number of those who have been graduated this year from high schools ask the NUG to employ such delegations for E-exams to be honest and sympathetic and fairly supervise this process and prevent violation.
