President Ghani Returns Home From Kazakhstan

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani after two day visit from Kazakhstan returned home yesterday, BNA reported.
Addressing at the Nazarbayev University on the opportunities and challenges in the region and world, the president said that Asia some 2000 years ago was the connectivity point of civilization and trade among the people of the world with Afghanistan as the center, but the 19th century’s developments isolated it. Terrorism has been threatening the whole world, the president said in his speech at the university. Afghanistan has paid huge price in fighting against terrorism, the president said, adding fighting terrorism requires cooperation of the region and the world at large. President Ghani also noted that Afghanistan has been trying to change into the linking point of the region and in this regard construction of railway, energy network, optic fiber, gas pipeline and roads are important.
