Meeting On Implementation of North-East Power Network System Held

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, a meeting to review the implementation process of north-east power national network system was held at the president palace on Saturday, the president press office said in a statement.
According to the statement, deputy minister of energy, Eng. Mohammad Gul Khulmi briefed the session about the mentioned system and the obstacles along the power transmission route in Kabul, Logar and Paktia provinces and presented information about the implementing plan.
He said the project aimed to extend 220KV power line from Kabul’s Arghandi substation to Logar’s Pol-e-Alam and Paktia’s Gardez substations, the statement further said.
247 pylons have already been installed along northeast power network transmission route and totally, 94 percent of the project has been completed, he added.
Afterward, head of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, Kabul, Logar and Maidan Wardak provincial governors and other participants spoke and declared their readiness on implementation of the project, the statement went on to say.
After hearing the participants’ talks, the president said that accuracy was a must in projects and their designs so to reach the negative effects to minimum the statement continued.
He also pointed out that the concerned authorities should talk with ministry of finance and Afghanistan independent land authority on financial resources and expropriation so to solve the problems before implementation of the project, the statement added.
