Ex-govt Soldiers with Disabilities to Receive Pension

JALALABAD (BNA) 6,000 Families of martyrs and former government soldiers plus civilians with disabilities received their pension, local officials said at the Department of Information and culture of Nangarhar on Tuesday.

Nangarhar’s provincial Director of Information and Culture, Mawlavi Lal Baz said that 6,000 disabled soldiers of the former government and 250 newly registered soldiers of the IEA received their pensions.

According to Lal Baz the families of other 26,000 former-government soldiers who registered previously, their documents are under process and soon they will receive their pension as well.

He called on the national businessmen to reach out to the needy, poor, and orphans in the country.

In war-torn Afghanistan, thousands of families have been left homeless over the past decades of conflicts in the country, and are currently facing severe economic hardships.
