Electoral Staffs of Presidential Candidates Should Be In Close Coordination With Police, Spokesman

Kabul (BNA) As election campaigns have entered its ninth day in the country, Ministry of Interior once again asked presidential candidates to coordinate their programs with police in order to prevent from security problems.
BNA correspondent reported, speaking in a news conference held yesterday, spokesman for Ministry of Interior Sediq Sediqi once again stressed on exclusive security measures in particular for maintaining security of the election process, asking all presidential candidates to coordinate their programs with police for security reasons.
The statement comes after an election campaigner of presidential candidate Dr. Abdullah Abdullah was shot to dead two days ago in Sar-e-Pul province.
According to Sediqi, Haji Yaseen said to be an election campaigner of Dr. Abdullah in Sar-e-Pul province wanted to go to Balkh province without coordination of police. He was shot dead by armed individuals in Kohistanat district of Sar-e-Pul province.
Sediqi said in connection with the case, an individual named Qari Sami, linking with Taliban has been arrested by police in the province.
It is worth mentioning that brother of Haji Yaseen is serving as local police in his birthplace.
MoI spokesman asked all presidential candidates to submit names of their election campaigners in capital and provinces to police for taking security measures by police.
