Kabul (BNA) Minister for Mines, Wahidullah Shahrani has said that Afghanistan owns huge valuable and very costly minerals such as gold, silver, iron ore and rare metals.
Taking to BNA the minister added that geological survey conducted by US on 70 percent of Afghanistan territory indicated that Afghanistan has huge under taped treasure.
The survey conducted by the most advanced optical system also enables the government to precisely spot the mine location and encourage investment in mining field.
Earlier the ministry for mines estimated the value of underground natural resources as high as 3 trillion US dollars which covered only 30 percent of the country’s territory.
