Deluge Hit Vast Financial Losses Across the Country

KABUL (BNA) Flew of heavy recent rainfall hit residential houses, and agriproducts, and damaged hundreds of acres of farmland in some northern provinces of the country.

The department of Management disaster takes precautionary steps to reach those who suffer flash floods said Abdul Qoddus Latif, director of disaster management for Samangan Department to BNA, deluges destroyed tens of houses and hundreds of acres of farmland in the province.

The administration of Samangan province tasked a delegation for determining of floods causes and to provide a further detailed report of the destructions, he added.

Meanwhile, flash floods killed two in Parwan, and took the lives of four other people in Baghlan, destroying hundreds of acres of farmland to the named and other provinces of the country.

Lately, the Afghanistan Meteorological Department warned of heavy rainfalls across some 27 provinces of the country will witness flash floods.

The mass of rainfalls is estimated between 22-60mm hourly in different zones of the provinces by the department.
