President Ghani Meets Malaysian PM, Kuwait Deputy PM in Baku

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani separately met Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohammad and Kuwait deputy to Prime Minister and minister of foreign affairs Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah on the sidelines of Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, here yesterday, the presidential press office said.
President Ghani and Malaysian Prime Minister discussed enhancing bilateral ties, economic cooperation and the Afghan peace process, the statement added.
Meanwhile, President Ghani discussed peace, security and economic cooperation with Kuwait Deputy PM.
Congratulating the successful holding of presidential election, Kuwait official praised Afghan forces role in the democratic process despite of increasing threats, according to the statement.
Hinting to bilateral friendly ties, President Ghani sand the presidential election was transparently held and serious monitoring taken place from the process.
The president  briefed Kuwait deputy PM on Afghanistan’s economic and peace visions, adding Afghans were demanding a dignified peace that also preserve the achievements made so far, the statement quoted him as saying.
The president went on saying that US was strategic partner of Afghanistan and that the issue of peace and US forces drawdown should be separated, adding Afghanistan was ready to discuss drawdown with US administration, the statement added.
Kuwait deputy PM said his country was supporting Afghanistan stance in peace takes and the government programs, adding Kuwait willing to have relation with Afghanistan, south Asia and central Asia via the Silk Road.
