Child Rescued from a Stranded Deep 80-m Well in Helmand

LASHKAR GAH (BNA) A child in Helmand had rescued from a stranded well 80 meters deep, Monday.

Mohammad Gol fell into a Burmese well while playing with his peers in their village on the outskirts of Bazaar in Nad Ali district.

He had been stranded about 50 meters deep in the well, but the villagers saved his life.

Naad Ali district source in Helmand told BNA “The villagers after rescuing the child have carried him out to the hospital.

Following the incident, Mohammad Gol has deeply injured, but medics say “the injuries do not threaten child’s life.”

Following same incident, a same age child lost his life recently in Nawzad district of the province.
