Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) The construction work of a bridge started in Kholm district, Balkh province yesterday.
Abdul Baset Aini head of rural rehabilitation and development of Balkh province said BNA; the bridge will be built at the cost of more than 15 million Afghanis in Khwaja Burhan village, Kholm district within eight month.
According to him, the bridge has 26 meter length and 5 meter width will be built from budget of JIZ of Germany.
He said, with completion of the bridge, the transportation problem of more than 25,000 families will be solved.
It should be said that Kholm district located in south-east of the province and residents of the district have suffered extensive losses due to recent floods.
