Exhibition On War And Peace Memories Opened

Kabul (BNA) In presence of Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture the exhibition of war and peace memories was opened at the National Archive.
At a ceremony attended by deputy information and culture ministers, deputy Kabul mayor, some departmental officials and some foreign guests, Dr. Raheen spoke and while recalling the memories of past wars said the bitter and good memories makes human history and the nations do have their history in their memories.
He added that these memories makes history and the aim for reading and writing is making history and if the history does not have to better record the bitters and good of the past it is not history but a story.
Masuma Nazari, Head of National Archive also spoke about the National Archive and preservation of the works and asked the governmental organs to place their historical document if they have any for the use of the researchers at the National Archive.
Dr. Sima Samar chairman of the Independent Human Rights Commission of Afghanistan and Khudaidad Basharat representative of the Law and Democracy Organization explained about the war and peace memories that is the main theme of the exhibition which reflects the negative repercussions of war, displaying of the supportive messages from individuals and domestic and international organizations with respect to traversing from the dispute to the sustainable pace and other such issues.
Khujasta Fana a participant of the ceremony informed the audience how her father was martyred mercilessly. Sayeed Musadeq Khalili deputy minister for cultural affair of the Ministry of Information and Culture said that the exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Information and Culture with the cooperation of Human Rights Commission at the National Archive displays some goods remaining from the martyrs and victims of war. The exhibition remains open for two days.
