IOFS Humanitarian Assistance will be Transferred to Afghanistan Soon

KABUL (BNA) The State Ministry of Disaster Management discussed the transfer of Islamic Food Security Organization (IOFS) assistance for the people of Afghanistan with Yerlan Baidaulet Director-general of the organization, while Kazak ambassador to Kabul was present in the meeting.

Mawlawi Sharfuddin Muslim, Deputy Minister of State for Disaster Management, spoke about challenges such as poverty, drought, and IDPs, saying that the ministry is a service provider and non-political body whose main purpose is to address the needs of displaced and vulnerable people. He said in the meeting.

The Organization for Food security department to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was built in 2011 in Qaraqstad and currently operates in 57 countries.

The organization assisted 17 tons of flour to Afghanistan and at the same time provided a Water filter network and agricultural machinery to the people of Afghanistan, based on its commitment to the Conference of Islamic Countries.

Director-general of the Food security department to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Yerlan Baidaulet said in a meeting with the Ministry of State for Disaster Management that the series of the organization assistance would be transferred very soon to Afghanistan.

Following the increase in poverty and unemployment in Afghanistan, a number of international aid Organizations have proclaimed their interest to provide assistance to the people of this country.

Islamic Emirate hailed the cooperation of international aid organizations and said that humanitarian aid needs to be managed and distributed in coordination with government relevant sectors.
