Educated Generation To Play Vital Role In Enduring Development Process of Afghanistan

Tuesday, August 01, 2017

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) has announced results of 1396 entrance exam. From among 169,000 students participating in the exam, 60629 have been passed to government higher education institutions, 31629 others passed to government semi-higher education centers, while more than 55,000 others introduced to private higher education institutes.
Every year, a large number of students are passed to higher education institutions and tens thousands others annually graduate from various departments of government and non-government higher education universities. This process is continuing and still has negative and positive outcomes, but unfortunately due to lack of a standardized statistic center to analyze the number of those entering the universities and those graduating from universities, most of cultural, political and economical disorders are kept hidden.
The positive aspect of the process is that we face annually with a large number of new cadres graduating from different departments of higher education universities as cultural and educated generation of the country can play key role in enduring development process of the country and bring changes in modality of the country’s future and financial investment.
Today most of knowledgeable figures believe that the investment of knowledge or human force in making wealth is more important than only making investment. From thin point, when most of members of a society are educated and professional, it means that the society is rich from point of human force and can lead social order towards a better future and improve social life dimension.
The main concern in this regard is that how can we direct this valuable resource’s talents, knowledge and capabilities to the right direction? It is important to make use of knowledge of the educated individuals, otherwise knowledge without using it will not open any ways towards enduring development. We are facing with such problem in our country. First, higher education institutions in our country are very weak and not suited with international academic standards as most of those graduating from these institutions cannot be considered as professional and higher educated.
Secondly, current vague security, political and economic situation in the country has seriously cut down the facility of making use of professional human cadres. When other issues as discrimination, nepotism and other types of corruption add to the above problems, working environment for most of educated and professional figures can be limited in offices.
Thirdly, administrative structure, laws and mechanism for deployment of individuals in government organizations have blocked entering of new educated generation to government organizations.
Thus, we are facing today with educated generation but unemployed and rate of unemployment will further increase in coming years and in the meantime, its negative outcomes and issues will get more serious too.
