Afghanistan Reports 256 New Cases of COVID-19, 26 Deaths 

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan has recorded 256 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s total cases to 49,740 on Tuesday.

Officials in ministry of public health reported, with 26 new deaths in the last 24 hours, the toll has mounted to 2,001.

The total number of active cases of COVID-19 in the country stands at 8,621, as of Tuesday.

The total discharged cases are at 38,500 with 90 new discharges in the last 24 hours.

It is mentionable that until now 172,306 samples of coronavirus has been tested in laboratories of the ministry across the country, the officials added.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 72,874,163 and the deaths are reported to more than 1,621,838 according to John Hopkins’ global dashboard.
