President Karzai Chairs CM Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The Council of Ministers with President Hamid Karzai on the chair held meeting the other day. 
According to presidential press office to BNA, in the outset of the meeting, the 95th anniversary of the Independence Day was congratulated to the nation. Addressing the meeting, President Karzai lauded the services of the head of affairs’ administration and secretariat of CM as well as their deputies for offering honest services to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in the fields of good governance and the successful convening of Loya Jirga for regional peace between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The president in recognition of the services of Sadiq Mudabir, head of affairs’ administration had conferred the medal of Ghazi Amanullah Khan and his deputy Najibullah Amin was honored with the medal of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan.
Similarly Gen. Noorullah, head of providing security for government officials including cabinet members who had performed his duty with commitment over the past decade was honored with government medal second rate Store. Later the First Vice President, Mohammad Younus Qanooni briefed the meeting about the conference of commission on preparation of Bamyan as cultural capital of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation), held on Assad 5, saying becoming Bamyan as cultural capital of SAARC is a proper decision. During the meeting besides writers and cultural figures the officials from Bamyan provincial leadership were also attended wherein the problems of Bamyan as the cultural capital of SAARC were discussed.
Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture presented preliminary proposal to the meeting and called for the constitution of a commission with participation from concerned ministries.  CM meeting has tasked the ministers for urban development, public work, finance, economy, rural rehabilitation and presidential advisor on construction, energy and water, head of environment directorate, head of local organs directorate and the governor of Bamyan province to work under minister for information and culture and report their work to the CM. 
Second Vice President, Mohammad Karim Khalili in the meeting briefed the participants about the solutions of the technical problems of the planes taking Hajjis to Saudi Arabia.
In the meeting the decisions of the justice ministry with regard to not recruiting the children under 18 was approved.
The ministers for communication, labor, social affairs and disabled who visited the Urgon district briefed the meeting about the expressing sympathy with the recent attack’s affected people and extending cash support to the victims’ families and presented the lists of those received assistance. CM meeting also approved two international accords which include financial agreement for archeological research in Mess-e-Aynak area of Logar province between the ministry for information and culture of Afghanistan and Czech embassy in Kabul and cooperation agreement in the fields of culture, art and publication (audiovisual and print) between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
