Kabul (BNA) A number of shopkeepers from Baghlan’s provincial capital Pul-e-Khumri called on Second Vice-President here yesterday and apprised him about their problems.
Briefing the vice president about grabbing lands by influential figures and destroying 636 shops illegally, they demanded the government to check illegal activities and bullying of local powerful figures. Destroying the shops would render hundreds of people jobless and eventually add to poverty, they warned. After listening to their problems and suggestions, the Vice-President said that a fact finding mission has been sent to the area and if necessary the cabinet would take decision in this connection.
