IEA Holds Economic Commission Meeting to Discuss Key Development Projects

KABUL(BNA): The regular meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission was held yesterday, June 10th at the Marmarin Palace.

In this meeting, discussions were held on the copper processing in Sar-e Pol province, the development of the substation in Mohammad Agha district of Logar province, the production of 40 megawatts of solar power in Nangarhar province, 10 megawatts in Paktika province, and several other topics.

In addition, in the aforementioned meeting, after comprehensive discussions, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum was tasked with sharing its information about the Balkhab copper mine in Sar-e Pol with the Economic Commission.

In the meeting, following detailed discussions on the project’s development, the Ministries of Water and Energy, Mines and Petroleum, and Breshna Sherkat were assigned to present their analytical reports on these projects to the Economic Commission.
