Dr. Abdullah Visits Royal Military Academy Sandhurst In Britain

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah at the last day of his visit to Britain paid a tour to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was warmly welcomed by the commander and staffs of the academy there.
The commander of the academy briefed the chief executive officer about the history of the academy and its role in providing training to armed forces personnel of Afghanistan and establishing the Marshal Fahim military academy in Kabul.
After visiting Afghan students studying there, the chief executive officer delivered his speech at the Churchill Hall of the academy in which he expressed gratitude over the support contributed by Britain and the academy to Afghanistan, saying Britain was among the first countries after 9/11 attacks that has supported Afghanistan in the war on terror.
He also expressed gratitude to Britain for the sacrifices of its men and women in Afghanistan in the war on terror.
Praising the ability of the Afghan national security forces, the chief executive officer said that the national security forces are capable enough to defend the country’s security independently. Emphasizing for long term support of international community, the chief executive said that international community at the conference of  foreign ministers of the NATO-member states at Brussels and London Conference expressed their sound support to Afghanistan which would last until Afghanistan achieve self-reliance. The chief executive officer also responded to the questions raised by the students of the academy there.
