Wednesday, January 27, 2016
Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said the other day that any efforts to flame war in Afghanistan would affect the region, Bakhtar News Agency reported Tuesday.
In an interview with the BBC, the president said if the peace process failed to get started in the next two months, the flame would not only affect Afghanistan, but would also engulf the region as well, the agency further said.
According to the agency, the president in an exclusive interview with the BBC added that the upcoming February and March would be the very significant months for opening a new chapter.
“The war would not also overshadow Afghanistan, but also affect the region as we need to defend our existence, a move would help intensify war more than the past,” the president said continuing Daesh, the local branch of which is in war against the Afghan local forces and the Taliban Group’s affiliates, would be buried in Afghanistan, as it is not an Afghan phenomenon and its growing crimes have caused the Afghans’ refusal.
