President Ghani Allocates $20M For Reconstruction of Ghani City

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani during his visiting in Ghazni province attended praying ceremony for the martyrs of the recent clashes took place in the province.
Besides inspecting different parts of Ghani city, President Ghani meeting a number of residents and listened their problems and demands. Meanwhile, the President attended administrative session of the province and was briefed on overall security situation. Addressing the session Ghazni governor Wahidullah Kalimzai said water supply, telecommunication and electricity systems were restored, however he said it needed further works.
Praying for the souls of martyrs, the President said 20 million dollar to be allocated for reconstruction of the government buildings and other areas of Ghazni province. The President also instructed ministers of agriculture, public health, energy and water and telecommunication and information technology to accelerate their efforts for delivering assistance, including potable water, health related aids, electricity and communications. According to another report, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani chaired security meeting in Ghazni province yesterday. The meeting was attended by Minister of Interior Wais Ahmad Barmak, Mohammad Sharif Yaftali chief of army staff, deputy minister of security affairs of the ministry of interior, Gen. Mohammad Akhtar Ibrahimi, Gen. Dadan Long commander of 203 Tandar army corps and police chief of Ghazni province Farid Mashal.
Speaking on security situation of Ghazni province, Army Chief said the situation was back to normal and the clearing operation was going well. Praising Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) performance, the President said braveries of the forces to be appreciated. Hinting to coordination among security forces, the President said conspiracy in Ghazni incident should be investigated by the national directorate of security and weak points should be revealed. The President also instructed rehabilitation of Ghazni police forces and stressed establishment of further police districts in the province.
