Kabul (BNA) The visit of president Ghani to Kazakhstan and signing of several agreements with the authorities of that country indicates that the two countries consider regional cooperation and coordination as the main factor for regional development and committed to spare not any effort to achieve that noble aim.
BNA economic analyst commenting on the issue writes Ashraf Ghani the president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is now on an official visit to Kazakhstan, aiming to improve ties between the two countries.
President Ghani during his stay in Astana the capital of Kazakhstan in addition of holding official talks with the authorities of that country visited a number of Kazakh merchants, investors and Afghan students studying in that country. The president delivering a speech at Nazarbyoof University talked on challenges and opportunities exist in Asian developing countries.
According politicians and economic experts having good and constructive ties with central Asian countries among them, Kazakhstan is a strategic goal of Afghanistan, because strengthening ties with central Asian countries not only provides the ground for regional economic cooperation, plays an effective role in restoring stability and order in the region.
Afghanistan can be a connection point between Asia the middle and south Asia and this can be effective for the economic stability of the countries, but unfortunately, there are many challenges on the way of implementing this idea in practice. Today, terrorism, and extremism are suffering the countries of the region in various ways. Although, the factors and sources that cause the problems are clear and comprehendible, but still there are certain circles in level of the region that use terrorism and extremism as a means for achieving their ambitious and evil objectives. These circles try hard to spread their influence in to middle Asian republics and chosen Afghanistan as a transit road for getting to that region. While the Afghans with limited possibilities but strong resolution is firmly standing against
Terrorists and extremists and prevent them from reaching the region and other parts of the world. Afghans hope the countries of the region especially, the middle Asian countries understanding this humane stand of Afghanistan, accept supporting of it as their moral obligation, because restoring stability and security guarantees the stability of the region.
Among the countries of the region, Kazakhstan as the richest country, which has close and active relation with China, US and Russia can play an effective role in restoring peace and ending the violence in the region caused by terrorist and extremist elements. Earlier, Kazakhstan has assisted Afghanistan in many fields, which are appreciable. . Now, we expect our friend Kazakhs to help Afghans in organizing and holding a regional gathering to assess the current problems of Afghanistan and the region. In addition, Kazakhstan extending its commercial and economic ties can prove to be effective in economic growth of Afghanistan.
Earlier, Afghanistan imported its required wheat from Kazakhstan. If the process continues, Kazakhstan will become a good economic partner of Afghanistan. Kazakhstan is also, a good transit route for Afghanistan, with using this route, will rid of severe restrictions imposed by our southern neighbor.
Political experts believe, the common view of Kabul and Astana about regional and international issues, have brought the two countries closer and made them good cooperators in level of the region.
