Kabul (BNA) One hundred Taliban insurgents have been killed in the past 24 hours during operations by security and defense forces in various parts of the country.
Ruhollah Ahmadzai, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, told BNA, 100 Taliban insurgents were killed and 50 others were wounded in counter-attacks by defense and security forces in Laghman, Kunar, Nangarhar, Ghazni, Paktia, Maidan Wardak, Khost, Badghis, Herat, Faryab, Helmand and Baghlan provinces.
A large number of Taliban weapons and ammunition were also destroyed in the operation.
Likewise, security and defense forces discovered and defused 35 different types of mines in different parts of the country.
