People Cooperation for Security of Muharram a Must, President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in a meeting with the Shiite religious scholars of Afghanistan, assured them of a sure security during the decade of Muharram Al-Haram.
According to BNA report, at the meeting which was held at the Salam Khana Palace and attended by Second Vice-President, Mohammad Sarwar Danesh, National Security Advisor, some senior security officials, head of Afghanistan Ulama Council and a number of Sunni scholars, the Second Vice-President insisted on coordination and cooperation between the government and the people said that extremism and provocation of the people feelings should be prevented in order the ceremony of Muharram Al-Haram to be held peacefully. Other participants shared their suggestions with the President of the country about the security of the great religious day. The President after hearing their suggestions said: “Your offspring are behind the implementation of these security plans and they are those who patrol and launch clearance operations in the remotest and the highest points of the country.” The President also lauded coordination, brotherhood and atmosphere mutual respect between Shitte and Sunni Muslims said: “We are facing the vicious enemy who doesn’t observe any ethical border, so the threats should not be ignored.” The President said destructive and seditious individuals should be identified and the security organs suggested security plans about the Ashura security should be implemented. The country’s President also called a comprehensive cooperation and coordination between the government and the people a need.
