Kabul (BNA) Special Envoy of President on Reforms and Good Governance, Ahmad Zia Massoud who has recently visited Takhar, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Baghlan and Samangan provinces held meeting with ministers of education, higher education, rural development, water and energy and deputy ministers for defense, interior, agriculture and officials from the local organs directorate reviewed the situation and problems of people in the said provinces.
After discussion and debates in the meeting it was said that security problems in some provinces has negatively affected the economic and reconstruction projects.
The participants in the meeting also agreed that lack of local economic programs and implementation of economic projects as well as unemployment has added to the problems of people.
Calling for the solution of the problems in the said provinces, Massoud asked the said ministries to prioritize solving the challenges and step up to their solution.
Speaking in the meeting, officials of the security entities revealed their plans for operations against terrorists and the Taliban in spring elsewhere in the country.
The officials from the concerned ministries also said that variety of projects in the fields of health, education, power and road constructions would be launched in the said provinces in the upcoming solar year of 1395 to improve the living condition of people in rural areas.
