Thousands of other Refugees Headed Back Home from Iran

KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations says 1,429 Afghan refugees have been Repatriated from Iran today.

According to reports, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations released a newsletter stating that among these migrants, 39 families, including 160 people and 788 single people, were compulsorily, as well as 8 families, including 191 people and 450 single people have headed back home voluntary.

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations say it has referred refugees to the IOM for assistance.

The process of forced deportation and return of Afghan refugees from Iran has recently increased. thousands of Afghan refugees have been forcibly deported from Iran over the past month, according to the Ministry of Refugees.

Immigrants returning from Iran describe the situation of Afghan citizens in Iran as unfavorable.

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations recently publicized that a quadripartite meeting among Afghanistan, Iranian, Pakistani, and UNHCR officials would be held soon to address the situation of Afghan refugees in neighboring countries.
